Friendsgiving is the greatest fake holiday ever. My friend group in San Francisco just celebrated our fourth Friendsgiving together and I had some big thoughts on the topic. We've grown up a lot! This year we had place cards on our seats and all the correct accessories needed for cooking a turkey. We had a Friendsgiving (arguably the best one,) where we didn't have a table to eat together and we danced in a friend's kitchen all night. Here's to many more big-kid Friendsgivings!
This year I decided to honor the competitive nature of my friend group with a hell of a lot of games and prizes to win. We played a Thanksgiving trivia game, where each round were questions about the Thanksgiving episodes of different TV series. Each round had corresponding prizes: first to get dessert, a pair of winter socks, and the last was a "surprise prize," which was cranberry jello shots! We also voted on best dish and best beverage and read out loud everyone's answers. In a unconventional turn, cranberry margaritas and Memphis-rub ribs won for both!
Thanks as always to my photographer friend, @czargram, and to everyone who took these Friendsgiving shots!
